WEB PORTAL VALIDATION WORKSHOP

The development of the NIPFN web portal began in August 2021. The web portal is a multi-sector web platform that hosts data, information and publications that are of interest to our stakeholders. One of the goals of the project is to collect information from various sources to facilitate a multi-sectoral analysis of the food security and nutrition situation in Kenya. The objective of the workshop was to present the web portal to stakeholders, validate its contents, collect feedback on areas of improvement and identify sector champions for ongoing portal updates before it was to be officially launched in June. The workshop was held from 30th May to 3rd June 2022. Ms. Leila Akinyi - Ministry of Health

The target stakeholders included representatives from KNBS, KIPPRA, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries, and Co-operatives, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Water, Sanitation and Irrigation, Ministry of Public Service, Gender, Senior Citizens Affairs and Social Programmes, National Drought Management Authority, Council of Governors, UN agencies that contribute to Food and Nutrition security outcomes, and the Scaling Up Nutrition movement actors in Government and Civil Society.

The portal’s menu bars include a Home Page, Dashboard, Repository, Online Library, and News and Events. The portal is currently hosted on the KNBS web server and can be accessed by a click of a button at https://nipfn.knbs.or.ke
